A month in the middle of the harvest due to an infected leg that led to Sepsis, and another month-6 weeks after an operation on one of my kidneys that was right at the start of the sales when the weather warmed up, combine this with what has been a more quiet season than usual . This has left us with Sue trying her best to hold the fort, and us as a company with too many unsold koi. So we need to reduce the volume of koi we have here. Izumiya is a great farm, and most people only think of this farm for Yamabuki ogons, which is true, but it was for growing koi very big,my first trips to Japan and seeing so many varieties over 80/90cm, and this was 0ver 20 years ago ! Tosai left from last season.
