Today cefas visited us to ensure all koi infected have been destroyed and removed from the premises. At the weekend we over dosed the effected pond with virkon, and run the filters for a few hours, and on Monday night the pond was drained for their inspection. The restriction order has now been removed, so we can fish can be moved in and out of the forge. Over the next week or two, we will dismantle all the pipework, punmps, filters etc etc and then sterilise the whole pond by hand once again. We will then leave the pond dry for a few weeks while we decide what to do in the long run. Thanks for those who have supported us.
