Having such a busy day today im not looking forward to the amount of work it has left me to do tonight . With facebook , the blog and the website it has become bvery difficult to get all the work done with out eating into sleep time . Why so much work , well its been an eventfull day and we got a lot done , even thought the fish buying diddnt start untill midday , but i guess ill have to start at the begining . First appointment was at Shintaro koi farm , here we have a three step sanke that we were thinking of leaving this summer to be returned to the mudponds .When the koi was bowled , more sumi had come out , and Saito san said it would grow may be 5cm at the most . Bearing in mind that we can get nearly that ourselves in our showered pond , and that our water would certainly get the sumi out quicker the decision was taken to ship the koi instead . Fees for leaving koi in a mudpond can range from £200 to may be over £500 , and i diddnt think it would add that to the value of the koi .She is now yonsai and roughley 70cm .From here we went to Yagenji to see a koi i had bought from them on a photograph . I wasnt disapointed theShiro utsuri was was very nice and nisai , 47cm and going back to the mudpond for another year .. While we were here we discussed tosai options and was offered a very large Showa , placed in the bowl she measured nearly 89cm . If anyone is intereasted please contact me . First pic is the yonsai 70cm sanke from Shintaro . Next is the nisai 47cm Shiro utsuri from Yagenji and then an almost 89cm showa from the same breeder . Ill add the links for the videos later on .
