TUESDAY 27TH Good morning all. Today the roads are a nightmare due to flooding and general stupidity of people driving. A264 I suspect will close very soon, tunnel to the farm flooded, road from k2 to pease pottage closed accident, main road in Horsham closed to another accident. Please do not travel to the shop as we have closed for the day. If you have already left, message me or Sue, and we will come out. It’s not worth the risk, and out apologies for any inconvenience caused.

With Rod and Diane Taylor joining us from Sussex mid day on Sunday , there wasnt too much driving around that could be done untill we knew what time train they would be on .So it was paperwork ,washing and catch up on some sleep day . I did manage to get round to the local show in Ojiya where there where a good 15 brits strolling around and having a good chin wag and generally putting the koi world to right .Very relaxing and well needed , one intereasting moment was a conversation with Gary Pritchard a bkks judge involved asking wether i found being a dealer had killed the hobby for me . At the time i answered staright away , nah , i get to see more and better koi in the shop than i ever would have in my own pond , and i get to come to Japan 2/3 times a year at which he laughed and the subject changed . It was walking back to the hotel and this question bothered me and i started thinking about it and remembered Peter Waddys quote , that any one being a dealer would have to love koi or they could never keep doing it with all the highs and lows involved . I decieded that this was the end of the converstion with myself as people were starting to stare and think i was mad , but the next day i would do something that would surprise me and really answer the question asked .
