Today is the of the Nagaoka koi show  so we based the day around it ,

and that soon went pear shaped and we diddnt get there , blame Maruhiro !!!!! First visit today was Kase koi farm . Nice koi , nice guy , great staff and unbelievable varieties . When we arrived the nisai pond was very low on stock , but we managed to catch up around 15 nice unusual koi . Kin showa , showa , kikisui , doitsu metalic ochiba , beni kikokoryu and doitsu kin ki utsuri . 

 doitsu metalic ochiba , doitsu karasugoi , doitsu yamatonishikigoi , doitsu showa , doitsu kinki utsuri .

      We left Kase , to head to the koi show and visit Maruhide on route . But , as we past Maruhriro koi farm , there was only one car there , so we popped in and tried to secure an appointment to spend time with him . He was having none of it , bowl bowl he shouted in his Engish .So we were off . Nisai showa , all female and nisai ! 

Another bowl of great koi , showa , gin rin showa , doitsu kujaku , kohaku and kumonryu .

Then it was time to jump up a grade , 5 better quality nisai , showa , kindai showa and kisui . Next pic showa and high grade ginger ! 

Then another jump in quality to his bigger ponds , two more nisai showa , one around 55-60cm ! 

Then a very nice unsexed three step showa .

A showa that was swapped out of one of the bowls , as we missed a split tail . 

Then it was time to get into the big girls ! 70 cm yonsai ki usturi , yonsai 74cm Kohaku to stay in Japan . 57 cm female kohaku and 57cm male sanke , both nisai .

Couldnt leave without a few gin rin chags , 55-60cm, female  and only nisai ! 

 Any one who has been to Japan , can easily see where time slipped away after bowling videos and pictures . So we missed the show and luch as well ! Then off to Maruhide , famous for his doitsu koi , and of late Maruta bloodline koi . This guy has some serious koi , so we bought a very nice tancho showa and two showa all female . Then some of his kohaku , and then a box of doitsu !
